Building Relations, has announced today that it is officially a certified B-Corporation, joining a global community of businesses committed to using business as a force for good.

B-Corp certification recognises companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. The certification process assesses the full scope of a business’s operations, from governance and employee wellbeing as well as looking at internship programmes to environmental impact, charity work and campaigns.

Operating throughout the UK and with offices in London and Edinburgh, Building Relations PR has demonstrated clear commitments to sustainability and responsible business practices through its communications work within the property, new homes and construction industries. Achieving B Corp status reflects this commitment and the agency’s ongoing efforts to put people, planet and best practice ahead of profit.

Achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 88.7, this high score, highlights the agency’s commitment to building a business that prioritises its people, supports its clients responsibly and contributes positively to the wider community and environment.

Rachel Colgan, Founding Managing Director of Building Relations PR, comments: “Doing the right thing in business is central to our beliefs at Building Relations and we always do our best to live by this. Becoming a certified B Corp is a proud milestone for us as it reflects not just what we do, but how we choose to do business and set standards for the future.

Co-Managing Director, Kathryn Reucroft adds: “This has been a significant but important undertaking for our teams in London and Edinburgh and achieving B Corp status is recognition of this hard work – and we are excited to build on this. We aren’t just advising clients on environmental and social responsibility, but we walk the talk and lead by example.”

As a B Corp, Building Relations PR will continue to build on its commitments, ensuring it meets evolving standards. The certification also aligns with the values of many of the agency’s clients, who are increasingly prioritising and encouraging responsible and sustainable business practices across the built environment sector.

Rachel adds: “By understanding how we can do business better, we are in a good position to be able to advise our clients as they navigate and communicate their own sustainability journeys. We are operating a business at a time that trust and transparency has never been so important – and our approach to sustainable practices, people and culture absolutely sit at the heart of this.”

12 years in business this year, Building Relations PR was named among PRWeek’s Top 150 ESG PR Agencies 2025, and its partnership with Sustainabuild won the Best Sustainable Marketing Initiative at the Construction Marketing Awards in 2025.
