The holiday season is undoubtedly one of the best times of the year for creative Christmas campaigns – and at BR we love thinking outside the box and coming up with some unique ways for our clients to spread festive cheer!

After last year’s very strange ‘Christmas’, we knew it was time to go all out on festive celebrations this year. Whilst planning Christmas campaigns, we had to keep in mind the ever-changing Covid-19 restrictions to make sure that we could still put on fantastic and Covid safe events for our clients. We wanted to make sure that 2021 goes out with a bang!

Some of our favourite 2021 Christmas campaigns include:

Christmas Cinema Screening: Everybody loves Christmas films and good food, so what better way to celebrate than by hosting a Christmas movie night! Client Barratt London hosted a night of fun for residents at New Mill Quarter with an outdoor festive cinema screening of Elf and Home Alone – complete with yummy hot food and drinks.

Wreath making: If arts and crafts is your thing, this activity is for you! At a number of Barratt David Wilson Kent developments, residents took part in free community wreath making sessions in partnership with local florists.

Saplings donation: Calling all green thumbs! Client Barratt Homes donated a box of 120 Christmas tree saplings to schools local to dozens of Barratt developments across London and the South East. In total, 3000 saplings were donated, which serves as a timely encouragement for children and families to think about how everyone can take small steps towards protecting the environment, and reduce waste during the gift-giving season.

Donations to charities: This year saw many of our clients donate to some fantastic charities, including Social Bite, Crisis, Queen Alexandra Hospital, Northampton General Hospital, Operation Christmas Child, and to a number of foodbanks across the UK. From Christmas trees and food parcels to boxes of gifts and baubles – our clients are most certainly a generous bunch!

Santa’s Grotto: Children at Yapton CofE Primary School got a big surprise when they discovered Santa in their ‘Book Nook’ in the school’s playground. The pupils were thrilled to meet Santa and even receive some goodies from client Dandara!

Bauble design: Traditional plastic baubles are out; sustainable wooden baubles are in! Client Dandara donated wooden baubles to a number of schools around the UK. The pupils put their art skills to the test and created some fabulous designs to be hung on their school Christmas tree.
